STORY: Jakarta is just like any other large, modern city in Asia, with its share of shopping centers surrounded by concrete. But now Governor Fauzi Bowo, together with the Indonesian Ministry of Trade and Ministry of Environment are welcoming the Ancol Sunday Market as a unique addition to people's shopping options in Jakarta. The part of the market called Pasar Apung is where you will find fish, shrimp, and crabs...which you can get strait from the fisherman who caught them. [Fauzi Bowo, Governor of Jakarta]: I think this is an interesting creation. For people who want to buy fish, they can come here every week to Ancol to these boats. I can say that, one, this is a new attraction, two, you can see what is involved here, people are working here." Now Lidya Lau will take us to other parts of the Ancol Sunday Market. Here are booths that sell anything and everything, merchandise, food, handicrafts, and accessories. There are also artists booths, where visitors can talk to the artist directly. And you will even be serranaded by a musical performance while you shop. [Lidya Lau, Chinese Singer]: I like the accessories stand the best. There is also a cat stand. I really love cats, and maybe this will become my favorite booth here. But unfortunately my parents won't let me buy one If you are in Jakarta, the Ancol Market is open every Sunday from 6am to 9am at the Ancol Resort. NTD, Jakarta, Indonesia.
