"Memories In A Garden" (Part 18 of 24) - Submission for "Life In A Day" project This is my submission (user: CJinMono) for consideration for inclusion in the "Life In A Day" movie: http://www.youtube.com/user/lifeinaday After hearing of this project, I fairly quickly had an idea of what I wanted to do. I came up with the idea to shoot footage in the garden that my mother had cared for and worked on until her passing a little over two months ago (as of 24 July 2010). The footage of life in bloom is a tribute to my mother, and I am hopeful at least a part of it will be included in "Life In A Day." General info about the clips: The footage was taken, in 720p at 30fps, by a Canon PowerShot SD960 IS. It was attached to a small tripod which I held in my hand while shooting. After watching the video with Joe Walker about editing, I decided to not edit or combine the clips, and instead upload them as they are. They are labeled in the order I would have included them had I edited them together. To go along with the "no editing" mantra, I did not take out the audio from the clips (monaural, from built-in microphone), so there are a variety of ambient sounds included. Also, I did not edit the individual clips' video. Therefore, on many of them, the first 4-5 seconds and the last 2-3 seconds may be a little shaky. Please disregard that when viewing the unedited clips. Specific info (part 18): A pan shot of the western part of the garden. If you're wondering, the brick behind the bamboo screen is the neighbor's house. I did my best not to have it appear much. The section viewable in the last few seconds of the clip is an area I didn't capture in other clips, so it's not relevant.
