This is the unfinished pre-production prototype of the latest and final edition of the 10th Doctor sonic screwdriver used by Matt Smith in The 11th Hour. This is the final production paintjob and has been revised to screen match better. This has been replicated directly from the prop and externally is a 1:1 replica with re-engineered internals. Upgraded soundchip and new sound sample that is three times as loud as the previous model and is louder than the CO toy with more efficient battery usage and reliability. CNCed from aluminium, brass and delrin plastic. It is a limited edition and is available for £250 from http://www.celestialtoystore.com

Jan 29, 2012 - How about modifying all your defective ones and making them "burnt-out" eleventh hour variants?

celestialtoystore Says:

Jan 29, 2012 - Have you ever tried burning out aluminium?!

1451tyler Says:

Jan 29, 2012 - ...No... It was just a suggestion ;_;

celestialtoystore Says:

Jan 29, 2012 - Think before you ask dude.

straker454 Says:

Jan 29, 2012 - Damn that is gorgeous! Great work on recreating that finish!

celestialtoystore Says:

Jan 29, 2012 - Cheers Straker. This will be a secret I'll be taking with me to the grave ;-)

straker454 Says:

Jan 29, 2012 - I don't blame you. It even looks like the overly repainted prop. I really hope i can at least get the regular Tennant sonic and hopefully another 9th Doctors sonic.

summerskyfilms Says:

Jan 29, 2012 - @celestialtoystore If you do the 11th sonic, how much do you estimate it will cost?

emeraldnite Says:

Jan 30, 2012 - Wow, in that light the color is pretty screen accurate! Can't wait for mine to come in the mail! Bravo!

celestialtoystore Says:

Jan 30, 2012 - It's coming in a few months.Priced around £350.

summerskyfilms Says:

Feb 29, 2012 - Can I have the soundchip for 20c? I was thinking of walking around town like a dog turd and randomly swinging around my sonic like im high as a kite. If anyone asks, I'll say im a 900 year old time lord form gallifrey and then I'll use it a sa pen, coz I'm really inconvenient, like.

celestialtoystore Says:

Feb 29, 2012 - Elvisgump is that you??

summerskyfilms Says:

Feb 29, 2012 - @celestialtoystore Trololololol no

angreypandy Says:

Mar 6, 2012 - i looked at the new internals for this screwdriver and it looks imposible to change the batteries because it looks as if you have to use a flat screwdriver to get them out of that small squear. i might be wrong and there might be something on the back of the internals that lets you get them out easily. not sure

JaydermanFTW Says:

Mar 8, 2012 - I really want one of these! Great Job! ;)

archsquee Says:

Mar 13, 2012 - It looks fantastic and I would definitely be in the market to get one if you could replace those unsightly flat head screws in the back, possibly for headless hex screws that would end up "hiding" in the hole when in place

oliethefolie Says:

May 18, 2012 - If this weren't so expensive I would buy one like that, but unfortunately, I don't have money to spend on a sonic :( I'll just have to stick with my Character Options ones for the time being.

spitfiremodeller123 Says:

May 25, 2012 - the only single complaint is the blue line. it's moved over by just a centimetre or is that just for the prototype?

celestialtoystore Says:

May 25, 2012 - It was a cockup that was corrected on production version.
